Anna Zachariades studies fine arts and sculpture at the Kunsthochschule Weißensee, Germany. Born in 1990 in Munich, Germany, the artist first trained as a tattoo artist, practicing for a decade before turning the focus to versatile, albeit inanimate materials.
Zachariades’ work is characterized by the involvement of versatile materials and exploration into their potential relationships. In their sculptural series, materials like stone and glass interact in a constant delicate fluid dialogue. They create a tension that intrudes, suspends and engages.
